The old Killian Feed Mill was originally the
Cotton Gin, which was featured in John
Grisham's "The Painted House."
Deserted buildings inside the city limits of Calico boast a
storied past.  The building with the red door was recently the
headquarters for Hayes Brothers Flooring.  The metal
workings of that plant still exist  there.
